Vonda Reeves-Darby, M.D., a native of Mt. Olive, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Milsaps College in 1978. She received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. Dr. Reeves-Darby completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, at Galveston, in 1991. She has extensive research experience and has received numerous faculty appointments. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She is a member of several professional associations. Dr. Reeves-Darby joined G.I. Associates in 1997. She has done extensive research in motility disorders and HIV-related conditions of the gut.
