James H. Johnston III, M.D., a Jackson, Mississippi native, received his Bachelor of Science degree, in Biology, from Princeton University and his medical degree from the Tulane School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota and his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Johnson is one of the founding members of G.I. Associates. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His research interest includes Endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding and tumors. He has published and lectured widely.
