April L. Ulmer, M.D.
April L. Ulmer joined the GI Associates family in 2007 and is a pediatric gastroenterologist at the Jackson GI Associates and Endoscopy Center and Madison GI Associates and Endoscopy Center.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Xavier University in New Orleans, LA where she received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Medicine from University of Mississippi School of Medicine and did a Clinical Internship from Washington Hospital Center. She completed her first fellowship from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, she went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics from Geisinger Medical Center and then completed another fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at State University of New York in Buffalo, NY. She is board certified in General Pediatrics.
Dr. Ulmer has received several honors and awards and has authored several publications and been the featured speaker on numerous occasions.
