Vonda Reeves-Darby, M.D.
Vonda Reeves-Darby, a Mt. Olive native, joined the GI Associates family in 1997 and is one of the gastroenterologists at the Jackson GI Associates and Endoscopy Center and Madison GI Associates and Endoscopy Center.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Millsaps College and went on to pursue a medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Dr. Reeves-Darby completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, at Galveston. She is board certified in Gastroenterology.
In addition to working at GI Associates, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine. She has extensive research experience, and has received numerous faculty appointments including the Association of Black Women Physicians, the American Women's Medical Association and the American Gastroenterological Association. She has done extensive research in motility disorders and HIV-related conditions of the gut.
